KONY 2012 from INVISIBLE CHILDREN on Vimeo.
Joseph Kony is the leader of the LRA, an army of children soldiers, abducted and forced into sexual slavery and a war about nothing. Mutilation and murder are the only objectives. It’ll only stop–we’ll only catch Kony–if our U.S. advisor troops stay in Africa at the pressure of our interest in Kony’s arrest.
So get interested! Watch the video. Join the Facebook group. Tweet about it. Blog about it. Tell your family and your friends. Imagine fearing for your life every time you went to bed or feeling as if you have no future. 2012 is the year to end this feeling as it is provoked by the LRA and Joseph Kony.
After much dilerberation and consideration to your styling concepts the winner goes to Olivia. See her comment below:
GIRL, the best “what I wore” look for this watch is OBVI the “Almost a date” post (http://www.omowrites.com/2011/10/30/what-i-wore-almost-a-date/).
Of course all of the other entries are equally fab, but what better look / occasion to wear a MEN’S leather strap chrono than on a date, where you can show your guy that you can wear that watch better than him! The softer layers, vintage belt, and men’s socks married with the watch creates a recipe of effortless sex appeal.
Her concept is right on point with what I was going for that night and certainly how it turned out. This perceptiveness and creativity wins!
Thank you, thank you, thank you a millie times to everyone who participated in the giveaway. I promise there will be many more to come! x OMO
//Deets: Old Navy coat, Urban sweater, Forever 21 tee, vintage belt, American Apparel winter leggings, Uniqlo socks, Call It Spring wedge//
I didn’t intend to try anything on. I wasn’t even browsing. But as I walked through the 33rd street entrance of Old Navy just to get to 34th street the leopard coat on the mannequin stopped me in my tracks. I had to.
And on a promo sale for $40 from $99, I got one for my mom and my grandma too!
